Keynote SpeakersAbbas CHEDDAD Professor Abbas is working as an Associate Professor in Computer Science at the University of Tartu, Estonia and the Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden. He obtained his PhD at the University of Ulster, United Kingdom. His industrial research and development experience includes collaboration with SONY Mobile Communications, Ericsson, ArkivDigital, Axis Communications, and GKN Aerospace Sweden. Cheddad has over 18 years of research experience and has supervised PhDs to successful completion. He has published in leading journals and conferences and secured substantial collaborative funding from the Swedish Knowledge Foundation (KKs) and the Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education (STINT). He serves/served as anAssociate Editor of Elsevier Pattern Recognition Letters, Associate Editor of Springer Applied Intelligence, Guest Editor, Chair and TPC member for several IEEE/Springer/Elsevier conferences, invited PhD grading committee, and a keynote speaker. He has received several awards, including the best paper awarded by IET (the Institution of Engineering and Technology), the 25K Award for New Entrepreneurs, and the best PhD thesis award from the Faculty of Computing and Engineering (2009). He received a fully funded PhD VCRS scholarship (03 years) in the United Kingdom.Cheddad is a Senior Member of IEEE and a Distinguished Speaker (ACM). His research goal is to develop technologies and direct world-renowned research in the multi-disciplinary areas of visual computing, computer vision, medical imaging, and applied machine learning.
Abdelhamid MAAMERI Abdelhamid Mammeri received the M.Sc. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Université Catholique de Louvain, Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Université de Sherbrooke, Sherbrooke, QC, Canada.,He is a Senior Research Associate with DIVA Strategic Research Network, University of Ottawa, Ottawa, ON, Canada. He has extensively published in top-tier international conferences and journals in areas of his research interests, which include intelligent transportation systems, advanced driver assistance systems, vehicular ad-hoc networks, and multimedia sensor networks.,Dr. Mammeri has served as a Technical Program Committee (TPC) Chair and a Track Chair for IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference in 2014, IEEE International Workshop on Performance and Management of Wireless and Mobile Networks in 2013 and 2015, and the IFIP International Conference on New Technologies, Mobility and Security in 2015. He has also served as a TPC member for several IEEE/ACM international conferences. He received the prestigious Fonds de recherche du Quebéc—Nature et technologies (FQRNT) Quebec PostDoctoral Scholarship Award in 2012.
Yousri KESSENTINI Yousri Kessentini is currently an Associate Professor (HDR) at the Digital Research Center of Sfax (CRNS) and the head of the DeepVision research team. He is also a member of the SM@RTS Laboratory. He obtained his Habilitation to Supervise Research (Habilitation Universitaire) in 2021 from the University of Sfax. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Rouen in 2009 and his engineering degree from the National Engineering School of Sfax (Tunisia). Before joining CRNS, he was an Assistant Professor at ISIMA and a Postdoctoral Researcher at ITESOFT and LITIS. He is certified as an official instructor and ambassador by the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute. His main research interests include computer vision, deep learning, document processing, and recognition. He has been involved in several research and technology transfer projects and has published more than 60 papers in international conferences and journals. He also serves as a reviewer for several international conferences and journals in the fields of pattern recognition and computer vision.
Paulo BATISTA Paulo Batista is a Ph.D. researcher at CIDEHUS.UÉ, University of Évora, Portugal, where he coordinates the "Heritage and Literacies" research group. He also teaches at ISCTE-IUL and the Autonomous University of Lisbon, where he coordinates postgraduate programs in archives and cultural promotion. He has held senior positions at the Portuguese Institute of Cultural Heritage, the Portuguese Institute of Architectural Heritage, and the Torre do Tombo National Archives. Paulo Batista holds a Ph.D. in Documentation from the University of Alcalá (Spain) and several postgraduate degrees in Information Science, Archival Studies, Law, and Patrimonial Management. He has published around 80 papers and authored several books. His research focuses on archival studies, documentation, cultural heritage, and information science. He has been invited as a keynote speaker at numerous international conferences across Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America. |
